- About me: I am an easy-going 27-year-old single guy from Themiddleofnowhere, KS. People call me Hamien (ha-meen). Yes, I know the spelling is not right. That’s part of the story behind the nickname. :) I am very simple person outside of the cubicle. I love traveling, Guinness beer, and 5-ft-2 brunettes ;). I’m not much of a sports freak, although I do enjoy a good Royals game and, of-course, my beloved, yet hapless Alma Mater, the Wildcats. I am interested in all things technology; a trait fostered by my gadget-guy father, who brought home a $2000, KAYPROII when I was 4 years old. If you don’t know what a KAYPRO is, google it and check it. It was one sweet piece of equipment… in 1984. Anyway, this technobession eventually developed into a career for me. I am in the technology sector and casually surveying new employment opportunities in New York City. My dream job would be with a small internet startup firm with about 15 employees and a one really big idea. I have worked 12 years for the same company and have been a part of its transition from the owner's garage to one of the largest in its industry. These means in addition to technology, I possess a unique skill set in the area of business development and expansion that I think would make me a huge asset to one of these companies. - Misc. Media Development: Video Editing in Adobe Premier, DVD Authoring in Adobe Encore, Print and Digital Artwork Authoring in Adobe Photoshop.
- Approach: I will use my experience in finance and business asset management coupled with my computer language and technology skills to help take the startup from idea to web powerhouse. I have a wide range of experience outside of networking and programming. This includes financial policy management, payroll managment, real estate investment, hr policy, ERP implementation, etc.
- Ideal projects: To be a part of the next greatest thing on the web. I would love to work side-by-side with 10 to 15 people in a converted loft apartment somewhere in midtown Manhattan. My ideal project is one where everyone involved comes in late in the mornings, but stays late into the evenings and is completely 100% driven towards the achievment of a common revolutionary idea. Huge salaries and 401k's, etc. are nice, not my goal. To me, money is the bi-product of success, not the cause of it.
