San Francisco is a foodie mecca. If you don't have time to search Yelp/Chowhound/Citysearch for the best restaurants, I can assist you. I have been fortunate enough to dine at the finest establishments in SF as well as at the tastiest holes-in-the-wall. I can give you recommendations based on your favorite foods, flavors, ambience, price range, and so forth. One category I cannot comment on is bars/nightclubs. Note that while the online review services listed above are wonderful, it takes a lot of time to read all of the reviews to find out why a particular restaurant is faring well or poorly in the reviews. Sometimes you have to weed out all of the negative reviews due to high prices, for example, because money is no object for you when it comes to having the perfect meal. Sometimes you have to weed out the positive reviews due to low prices for the same reason. The same applies for reviews based on ambience, type of cuisine, vegetarian options, and so forth. I often see reviews knocking restaurants for serving onions in french onion soup, for example, where the review should be ignored. It takes so much time to weed out the irrelevant reviews. One of my favorite recent examples of this phenomenon is Orson, a restaurant in the city -- home to a range of very creative and delicious food. Most negative reviews are either about the small portions and about how unusual the ingredient combinations are. If the portions are too small for you, then order more. If you are a meat & potatoes person, why do you even bother to eat here? Finally, I will be happy to make reservations on your behalf.
