- About me: I'm Lovietta Simpkins. A self taught artist from Chicago.I first started drawing at the age of 3. Not on walls but on notebook paper. They were these werid mutated half dog half human looking things and I thought they were the coolest drawings ever. Back then I mostly drew with ink pens, I didn't really like pencils because I'd always erase to much. With ink you have that one shot as some say. But, I didn't take anything I did as a mess up or a one shot because if worse come to worse just doctor it up a bit and make it cooler. Artists have a creative mind installed. I currently attend Columbia College Chicago my first year of college is over, and when I go back in the fall, I'll be a sophomore. I'm working hard to obtain my BFA degree and then hopefully I'll go back and tackle my masters. Because, I'd like to teach other artists some of the techniques I've developed.
